New summer 'seasonal games' from now until Aug 22, with seasonal loot boxes.  Play Lucioball and read about the mode and unlockables HERE.

Players that leave a competitive mode match before it ends must wait at least 10 minutes before they can start another match.

Added Lucio A.I. to various modes.

Minor matchmaking improvements.

Character selection tips adjusted.

    Biotic Rifle
        Rate of fire increased by 20%
        Magazine size increased from 8 to 10

Developer Comments: While Ana has been very well received, she was showing to be a little bit weaker overall. In addition to helping her feel better to play, these changes should also increase her healing and damage output.


        Primary Fire
            Damage falloff range decreased by 10 meters
                Damage falloff amount is unchanged
                As a result, even with this change, McCree’s effective range is still higher than it was at launch
        Alternate Fire
            Rate of fire increased by 15%
        Recovery time (i.e. the amount of time before McCree can fire again) decreased from 0.5 seconds to 0.35 seconds

Developer Comments: McCree’s latest range increase helped him quite a bit, but it was a bit too much in the right hands. This change weakens his long range damage somewhat, but still keeps it stronger than it has been in the recent past. The other changes combine to allow him to land more alternate fire shots on targets that he has hit with Flashbang.



    Targets of Ana’s Sleep Dart will no longer instantly recover when damaged (recovery time is now 0.5 seconds)

User Interface

    Fixed UI compatibility issues for ATI cards
    Fixed a bug that would sometimes cause Lúcio, Mei, and other models to only partially render (or disappear)

Overwatch Ana Patch is Live

New character Ana added to the Support characters.

Overtime countdown is faster.

Competitive mode no longer allows hero stacking.

Self-healing now charges ultimates, and because of that, some ults have a slightly higher cost.

D.Va's Defense Matrix now has a meter instead of a cooldown, and is set as the right mouse button.  Lasts 4 seconds straight but recharges automatically when not in use.  D.Va's ultimate also takes less to charge, explodes one second sooner, and no longer hurts her, allowing her to run around firing during it.
Slight McCree changes, better damage at long range, but extreme ranges deal less.

Mercy requires more to charge ultimate, but can now move around during the animation of resurrect.  Cannot stack her damage boost with other Mercys.  When using ult, it also recharges Guardian Angel flight instantly.

Roadhog - big nerf to his ult charge, likely due to being able to charge it with self-heals.

Soldier 76 fix for the zero recoil exploit.

Zenyatta has 200 health now, both buff/debuff orbs move 4x as fast, slight nerf to primary fire, slight buff to alt fire, and Transcendence makes him move twice as fast while healing has been buffed to 300 per sec.

Mouse sensitivity can by typed in now and allows decimals (yay!)

Some UI updates and new options, see notes.

Shrank hitboxes for Hanzo arrows and Zen beads.

New Overwatch Character: Ana

You can read about her Biotic Rifle, Sleep Dart, Biotic Grenade, and Nano Boost abilities HERE.  Her story is included as well.  She is available on the PTR (Player Test Realm) as well, and HERE is the patch notes, which include many changes like D.Va buffs, Zenyatta buffs, and more.

Lots of air changes: Valkyrie composite armor buffed against noseguns.  Air versions of Walkers' velocity nerfed.  Lib Hyena buffed.  Shredder ammo capacity buffed.  New Afterburner Fuel tank options added.  Engagement Radar for ESFs are now inherent/passive at max rank and certs refunded.  Composite Armor buffed for ESFs.  Coyote changes.  Air to air rocket changes.  Most noseguns changed.  See full notes for details.

Construction:  Reinforcements Module added - allows sundies near it to become Reinforcements Needed spawn point.  Infantry Tower added.  Smaller anti-vehicle turret added.  Faction Banner added.  Vehicle Ramp added.  Blast Wall added.  Sundy garage has roof entrances and will now require shield modules to cover it.  Walls / bunkers are now invincible if under a repair module, requiring destruction of the repair module first.

Other:  Holiday pistols buffed.  Vehicle tracer rounds easier to see in higher light situations.  MBT secondary weapons have been added to directives.  Engie turrets can now be closer to other deployables.  Underbarrel smoke launchers have shorter smoke effects.  Decoy grenades are back and do everything they did before, only they now distract turrets.  Empire-specific pistols now have optic attachments finally.  New studio items.  Harasser decals show up on the sides and back now.  Flash can equip gateshield diffuser.  New Vehicle Gunner sensitivity setting added.  Default deployment goes to Heavy instead of Light assault (think after MAX death for example.)  Terminals shouldn't hit performance anymore.  Emissary changes.  New loading screens.
